It can rain here too

The wind blows here - almost always - even when like today the temperature was 28.
In moderation, the wind can be of great help to those attending the sailing school just below us.

But sometimes the rains come - like the end of the world.

The start sign is this; lightning filled clouds building up over the land behind us before us before sweeping out over the sea where the first squalls appear.

As the storm develops, the lights come on around the Casino car park which begins to take on the appearance of a lake.

And then the rain falls in earnest.

But it doesn't last long and a clearing sky heralds the moving on of rain and the clouds.

But night is at hand, the boats are safe in their moorings and the Casino lights beckon, where someone has just lost his shirt with:

"I'll give you odds on that it doesn't rain tonight".
